Broccoli Flower Extract is derived from the edible flowering heads of Brassica oleracea var. italica, a member of the Brassicaceae family. Broccoli is naturally rich in glucosinolates, particularly glucoraphanin, which is converted through enzymatic action into sulforaphane when the plant tissue is crushed or chewed. Sulforaphane is the most extensively studied bioactive compound in broccoli and is known for its role in supporting cellular defense pathways.
