What effect may the Revitalizing Exfoliating Scrub have on the pH balance of my skin?

Generally, the more acidic a product is - or the lower its pH, the greater the exfoliating qualities that product has. Obviously, the pH level shouldn't be too acidic as this can irritate or damage the skin instead of helping it. This is a common problem with many toners on the market as well as other chemical-laden cosmetic products.

Kanapa™ Revitalizing Exfoliating Scrub includes kiwifruit extract, which supports a healthy pH level in the skin, as well as the gentle acidity of apple peel to help our natural pumice (sourced from lava rock) remove dead skin cells more effectively, revealing fresh, new skin.

This skin is then able to easily absorb the rich emollient ingredients in the product including shea butter, jojoba butter, avocado oil and grape seed oil which further help to support the skin's healthy pH level.
According to our team of skincare experts, who have years of research experience, a pH of 5 or 6 is ideal for skin.

Why does Kanapa™ Revitalizing Exfoliating Scrub not contain plastic Microbeads?

We are passionate about our oceans and ocean life; Microbeads, when used in exfoliants, are washed down the drain into the water supply. Plastic Microbeads can persist in the environment for more than 100 years and have been found to contaminate a wide variety of freshwater and marine wildlife globally.

Yes. Other parts of the body like the arms and chest may be damaged and exfoliating the area may leave the skin more smooth and healthy.

Will Kanapa™ Revitalizing Exfoliating Scrub dry my skin, as some other scrubs tend to do?

No, it should not dry your skin, as we have ensured to include a number of rich and nourishing moisturisers. Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil are included to moisturize and soothe the skin - while most exfoliators require you to cleanse your skin first and moisturize afterwards; our exfoliating scrub cleans and moisturizes with its rich emollient to leave a layer of nourishing moisturisation following the treatment.
