Geranylgeraniol (GG) is the raw fuel for some of the most important biological processes. It’s a critical component of the mevalonate metabolic pathway, which is responsible for cholesterol production, CoQ10 production, muscle protein synthesis and bone health.

GG Pure is formulated with a unique annatto seed extract, one of the most abundant sources of GG in nature. What is GG?

GG is the raw fuel for some of our body’s most important processes, including energy production, muscle building, and calcium and hormone regulation.

It is naturally extracted from the seeds of the Annatto plant, sustainably harvested from the Amazon rain forest.

Researchers have been excited to discover how taking a gg supplement can help with the side-effects of statins.

In one study[1], GG completely protected the muscles from statin problems. It not only prevented statin-induced muscle tiredness, but results suggested that GG helps the heart muscle contract to pump blood more efficiently and improved vasorelaxation (widening the blood vessels to improve blood flow).

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to feel the benefits of GG?

Difficult to say as it is a new product and most of the studies have been laboratory-based but it would be reasonable to expect to feel differences within three months.

Is it safe to take GG with my statin?

This was the main factor in developing this product. It should not affect the ability of your statin to lower cholesterol. However, you should always consult your doctor prior to starting this supplement and ensure that there is a 2 – 3 hour gap between your prescription medication and GG Pure.

Will this supplement interfere with any other prescription medications?

All supplements should be taken 2-3 hours away from prescription medication. We recommend checking with your doctor before beginning any supplement.

Can I take other Xtendlife supplements alongside GG Pure?

Yes, you can. All our products are formulated to work synergistically with each other.

Will GG help with cholesterol?

GG will not help with your cholesterol as it is downstream in the biochemical (mevalonate) pathway.

Can I take GG if I have a diagnosed heart condition?

Our view is a resounding yes. BUT, when you have any condition you should get your Doctors OK before commencing on any supplement regimen.

Can I take GG if I have stents?

There is no evidence to suggest taking a gg supplement would cause a problem for someone with stents. However, you should consult your doctor prior to starting GG.

Why is there a batch-to-batch color variation in GG Pure Capsules?

Geranylgeraniol (GG) - Xtendlife uses a multi-patented ingredient called GG-Gold™. It is made in a GMP facility in Massachusetts USA, using a clean, physical extraction process from the Annatto plant.

As the material is derived from a natural source, seasonal as well as batch-to-batch color variation is normal. The difference in color has no impact on the quality or efficacy. The normal color range is off-white to light yellow/gold powder. There are no chemicals used during extraction. Every batch of GG-Gold™ is tested by Xtendlife before being used in GG PURE to ensure the highest level of safety & quality.

Are these vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free?

Yes GG is derived from the Annatto plant. The capsule is derived from plant cellulose.

Is it safe to take GG while pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, we do not recommend this. The only product we recommend during this time is our Omega 3/DHA fish oil, which has valuable properties to support both the health of the mother and baby.

Fish oil is highly recommended by many medical professionals during pregnancy and breastfeeding to help support infant brain development, as well as systemic organ growth. It can also play a valuable role in supporting the post-natal mood and brain function of the mother. As the baby draws from the mother's precious stores of DHA, they can easily become depleted, therefore supporting levels with a supplement such as Omega 3/DHA fish oil is very wise.
